The Goods | Ginger Bread Cookies

The Story | Full of sugar and spice and everything nice, what’s not to love about Michigan-shaped Ginger Bread Cookies? All the flavors of winter that you crave in the shape of our favorite state!

Maria and John founded The Victorian Bakery in the basement of an old Kalamazoo Victorian home built in 1859. The baked goods they made for their son’s teachers at school became so popular that they had future customers begging to buy their scones and cakes. In 2010, they moved to their existing location and have been serving up delicious goodies ever since. Maria is the master baker and John handles “the books” – together, they make a dynamic duo.

The Victorian Bakery is committed to using local, Southwest Michigan ingredients whenever possible – like pastry flour that is grown and milled in Augusta and vanilla made in Kalamazoo. Not only do they make fantastic ginger bread cookies, you’ll also want to try their homemade breads, shortbread cookies and quiche.
